Greetings!

I just received wonderful news! I have just been accepted to follow God’s will and mission with The World Race to 11 countries for 11 months. I have never been so thrilled to receive news in all my life!!

What is the World Race??

The World Race is a journey based out of the interdenominational Christian organization, Adventures in Missions. It is a mission expedition that was created in 2006 by Seth Barnes, a Wheaton College graduate. He felt God’s calling to construct a trip for future generations—young adults ages 21-35 years to follow and be a part of God’s will by complete immersion in worlds with “real and raw communities” to serve ‘the least of these.’ “This unique opportunity is a challenging adventure for participants to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it’s not about you; it’s about the Kingdom of God and His plan.”

Where all are you going?

First, you should know that there are many routes on which to choose and apply. The route God has chosen for me is Route 1, September 2014. Route 1 travels to the following 11 Asian countries: India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, China, Mongolia, and the Philippines.

What will you do?

Each day will consist of different activities and tasks. Primarily we will be reaching out to the small communities we live in. Here is a list of things that past world racers have done, and we will do too: build and repair houses; teach English; care for orphans; dig holes; worship with complete freedom and utter abandon; preach and pray door-to-door, hut-to-hut, and dorm-to-dorm; feed the hungry; befriend and minister to teenage prostitutes; encourage pastors and missionaries around the world; heal the sick; pioneer a ministry; restore broken homes, families, and hearts; share our testimony; meet felt needs; visit people in prison, and yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

My mission and my plan for ministry:

In 2009, God called me into the mission field, and in 2011, I received my Associates degree with a major in Social Work. I want God to envelop me and use me. I want to be his voice, his hands, and his feet. I want to spread his love, trust during trials, and rejoice in his commandments. I know that God is going to bless me and change me just as much as he is going to use me to bless and change others with his love. I cannot comprehend the extent of this journey, but I know that it will be one that I will never forget. He called me, he is sending me, and I am ecstatic to go!

“…Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15

The hardest thing in the world for me to do is to ask for help. God knows this, and he is asking me to trust him. On the next page, you will find all of the financial information. If you can, please help. If you cannot help financially, please keep me and other “racers” in your prayers. Pray for our safety, ministry, and guidance. Thank you for your support!
